Sali was a petal
that fell into our arms.
She filled us up with happiness
and kind and gentle calm.
She was delicate and soft
a protector and a friend.
With her golden, loving eyes
our sorrow she could mend.
Sali was a flower
that bloomed so very bright.
In our hearts she will remain
our warm and gentle light.

Sali passed away on 7 July 2009.

Oh, Marc. I’m so sorry. This is beautiful. I wish I’d known.

This is what I meant yesterday by, having posts I had no idea where to place. Two weeks this one has been sitting. That’s just not right.
I wish I’d known; you could have sent it over to me and I’d have guest posted it for you. It’s a huge part of anyone’s journey when there’s a death. But now you’ll be able to post anything.

Oh, wow, Marc.

What a beautiful, poetic tribute to a good friend. I’m glad you shared this with us.

@Janice I appreciate the sentiment Janice. Something inside of me was telling me to put it up on my blog though. I realise that sounds selfish. I hope you understand where I’m coming from?
Thanks Hayden and Randi. Mandy is the poetic one, she wrote most of that. You should see her other work.
Course I do! Don’t be daft. I’ve been telling you for ages to put anything you want on your blog; it’s you we like reading as well as your content. Now that you’ve changed how you see your blog, you’ll be able to post anything.
