The astute among you may already have noticed the changes happening on this blog. Herein I’ll sum up those changes and the reasoning behind them.
- The major change: Welshscribe will no longer be about helping others with their freelance writing. Instead it will be more about me and what makes me tick.
In short this is now a personal blog.You can expect to see more of Marc. I can expect to watch subscriber numbers drop
The reasons are numerous but include:
- The name is just not conducive to business, in any shape or form. Truth be told it’s never really sat that comfortably with me.
- On a similar note there are financial reasons, related to the (stupid) UK benefits system that have forced me to re-evaluate things.
- Too many times have I avoided posting something because it wouldn’t “fit” with the freelance writing subject. Posts that I would love to publish but didn’t know where. A lot of them were inspired by others; Writer Dad, Blogger Dad, Janice, Hayden, the list goes on.
- Relocation of services. A new blog, centred around SEO is in the works. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my writing yet. I’d still like to try and make a living from it.
Thank you for accompanying me on my journey thus far. I sincerely hope you will all stick around and continue to contribute to my little corner of the Internet. It means a lot to me.

This made me happy, Marc. I feel a sea change coming. Be yourself, be all of your selves! You have lots of weird and wonderful talents I’m not even sure you realise you’ve got. Give me authentic any day. Young Hayden up there had me blethering on excitedly on a post about…wills!! Randi sucked me into a post about 72 hour emergency kits! I like personal, and passion, backed up by gentle, quiet authority, like you have when you talk about SEO in a way that techno challenged folk like me can grasp. I hope you’ll incorporate Aikido related things too, though; I miss DA
And for the love of all that’s holy, please do something with the header so that we can read the bloody thing!
