Before diving into this week’s link lovin’ I’d like to thank everyone that commented on my feedback post last week. Everything has been taken into consideration and changes are in the works
Another week has flown by and another chapter of Available Darkness is err available for your reading pleasure. What are you waiting for? Go read it already.
Oh you want more? OK then.
This is an old post by a good friend of mine Jade Craven but for some reason it re-appeared in my feed reader this week, maybe someone is trying to tell me something. 25 Things You Can Learn From Darren Rowse is an excellent read no matter what stage of your blogging life you are currently at.
Wondering what that awesome life coach has been up to lately? Of course not because you did the right thing and subscribed to her RSS feed. But in case you had a momentary lapse in concentration or your feed reader decided it was just not worth the effort anymore Janice has been:
- Flirting (the wee Scottish tease
) - Getting under our skins (In the good kind of way. I want one of those “homely pasta dishes” by the way Janice!)
- Celebrating getting older with 45 life lessons
Awesome.
Speaking of awesome. Hayden who is profoundly awesome in every aspect of her life (yes even in front of the camera Hayden) continues with her posting awesomeness despite some tougher times on the horizon. Check out:
- It’s Time to Stop Hiding
- What Are You Hiding From (my personal post of the month)

Thanks, Marc. I only intended to post twice this week, but things have a way of overtaking me. I’ll post the recipe some day if you like. When you’ve not been revamping, SEOing and CSSing, what have you done in the way of FLIRTing this week?
Totally agree with you about Hayden’s posts. Powerful stuff. The guest post was a real paradigm shifter and her own post had me in tears and empowered at the same time. I feel a gravatar coming on…

Not enough FLIRTing I’m afraid. At least not enough to keep my batteries recharged. It’s not been a fun and leisurely week. Interesting yes but not in the way of recreation and as for travel well I did reconnect with a group of mates but like I said, not enough FLIRTing.
I finally stopped deleting my comments and left one on Hayden’s last post. She really put my mind to work on that one!
I really love and appreciate your responses to those articles. It can be hard to put such intensely personal stuff out there, even when you know (know!) that other people feel the same way.
Thank you!

I think the other aspect of it is something that my mother taught me from a very young age; that there are people out there that are worse off than I am.
It’s a great coping mechanism but in a way it makes it difficult to share something which is already difficult enough to share – what gives me the right to complain.
I’m so glad you and Hayden shared, Marc; don’t underestimate how empowering it is for others.
PS Loving the touches of red and green – they’ll look so good with the new banner when it comes!
