It’s been a somewhat surreal week this week. From a post about poo to a post about writing an orbituary for your dead blog. This week also saw a guest post of mine go live over on the Blogopolis Blueprint. Thank you Eric and Sean for the opportunity.
My top 3 articles of the week though are:
- Top 10 List: What I Would Do If I Started a New Web Development Company. Brendon’s advice is positively inspiring and though it is aimed at web developers in particular his words still hold true for all freelancers. Go read it.
- How To Position Yourself As An Expert. Another of Laura’s articles I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with. Don’t be coy when trying to identify your expertise either. You’ll find you have skills that go beyond the obvious, just think of all the tasks you perform as a blogger…
- FreelanceSwitch.com Rate Calculator. I know, it’s not an article but it’s a damn good resource for freelancers. It lets you work out your annual business and living costs and then tells you what your per hour rate should be as a minimum to cover those costs and what it should be to make a profit.
A short but sweet link love this week. By the time you are reading this I’ll be in the middle of my birthday celebrations
